FAQ's  for Ski Buddy for Android

1. When I launch Ski Buddy, I see the message "Text-to-Speech language is not available", and the app does not speak. What is wrong?
The message means that Ski Buddy could not find a suitable TTS language on your device. You can download the TTS voice for US English from the following link to the Android Market. After installing, you can go into your Settings and select it as your Text-to-speech language.
Download US voice:

2. Does the odometer reading include time spent on the lift?
Yes, the odometer reading is total distance traveled, including distance while on the lift. Ski Buddy Plus includes an additional, per run, distance measurement when in Ski Mode. When you get off the lift at the top of the run, and Ski Buddy Plus detects that you are headed downhill, it starts recording for the run and notifies you by saying "Starting new run". When you get  on the lift at the bottom of the run and Ski Buddy Plus detects that you are going uphill, it reports the distance traveled for the run along with the top speed and vertical drop for the run.
3. I have low internal memory on my phone, why can't I move Ski Buddy to my SD card?
Ski Buddy is implemented as a "service" so that it can run in the background. The Android design guideline says that service based applications should be kept in internal memory.
4. I have upgraded Ski Buddy Plus to version 1.6.1 and the Ski Stats always show only zeros. How do I fix this?
Try clearing the app data: Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Ski Buddy Plus -> Clear Data
