Ski Buddy is your talkative companion that will keep you informed while out on the ski slopes. If you have wondered "How fast am I going?", "What was my top speed on the last run?", "How far have I gone?", "What is my altitude?", or "What time is it?", then Ski Buddy is your answer. It speaks speed, odometer, altitude, and time values at  user selectable intervals. In Ski Mode, Ski Buddy will track your top speed on your way down the run, and then will speak it while you are on the lift heading back up the mountain. This app is ideal for skiing, cycling, and any sport where it is more convenient to get your speed information audibly through your earphones rather than visually by looking at your display screen. It also works well for those times when you just need a conventional speedometer app. Both portrait and landscape orientations are supported, and there is an option to override the normal display timeout to keep the display always on.

Ski Buddy requires continuous access to GPS and Text-to-Speech, so the CPU is not allowed to sleep while the app is running. In order to conserve battery life, be sure to exit the app when you are done using it. A notification bar entry serves as a reminder that the app is still running and provides a convenient method of returning to the app.

Ski Buddy Plus has all of the features described above for Ski Buddy, and includes the additional features:
   Plus Features:

• Expanded spoken reporting in Ski Mode. Top speed,  average speed, vertical drop, distance traveled and duration are reported for each run.
• A new Ski Statistics display has been added which provides viewing of cumulative values for duration, distance and vertical, and overall top speed and average speed across all runs. In addition this display allows viewing of the stats for each individual run.
• Runs can be viewed on Google Maps. Markers show the locations of the run top speed and run finish. Pan and zoom are supported, as are normal, satellite, hybrid, and terrain views. Google Maps now shows ski lifts and runs for many ski resorts.
• New option to Suppress Repeats. When this option is set, speed and altitude values will not be spoken if they are the same as the previously spoken value.
• Improved settings. Restarting the app is no longer required for setting changes to become active.
• Application audio is automatically muted during incoming phone calls.
• Customizable screen colors (Android 2.x devices only)
